In Horizon 2 you'll see cars that drive around your friend's favourite parts of the game map, as well as boasting their liveries and car customisations. Returning from last year's Forza Motorsport 5 are the drivatars - AIs that record your friend's behaviour and seed them in your own game. Once in, the map that takes in Southern France and Northern Italy provides point-to-point races, cross country rallies and more boisterous events such as King and Infected, which see players sectioned off in variants of tag. There are two ways to play online - either on a road trip where everyone votes on where to head next, or in free-roam where you're able to go wherever you want. The transition, Playground Games says, is designed to be as simple as flicking between channels on a television remote. Now players can simply enter an in-game menu and select online play, with a brief cut-scene that syncs up the time of day and traffic conditions playing out before a multiplayer session is joined. It's one of the most significant advancements on the original game, improving on one of the few areas of weakness in a game we absolutely adored back in 2012. Forza Horizon 2's multiplayer will look to blur the line between solo play and online, with lobbies being all but obliterated as it seamlessly links between the two.
